Louise Du Chesne

| Louise has worked with adolescents, families and adults across a range of therapeutic settings. She has experience working with people struggling with eating disorders and with substance abuse. She has a particular interest in recovery from traumatic events, including childhood sexual abuse, and works sensitively with clients to draw on their inherent strengths in order to address experiences of posttraumatic stress and other trauma related conditions. Louise has an interest in couples counselling and parenting support and has a good understanding of the particular issues facing lesbians and gay men. Louise is a qualified Gestalt Therapist and brings a relational and ‘here and now’ approach to her work. Louise is currently completing her Clinical Doctorate in Psychology and her research investigates treatment for people who have experienced trauma and substance abuse. |
